On Monday, September 23, Velvet Taco, the nationally acclaimed taco brand, is opening its doors and inviting locals to experience their bold and globally inspired tacos. This highly anticipated event marks the brand’s first Miami location and second in Florida, following their successful
debut in Fort Lauderdale in 2023.
Starting at 11 a.m., the grand opening promises to be an exciting affair. The first 100 guests will snag an exclusive Velvet Taco hat, setting the tone for a day of scratch-made tacos, boozy libations, and a whole lot of fun. Fans of secret menu items will want to check out the Backdoor Chicken, a must-try for those in the know.

When it comes to the menu, Velvet Taco doesn’t disappoint. With over 20 globally-inspired tacos, including the crowd-favorite Korean Fried Rice with gochujang egg fried rice, the Spicy Tikka Chicken with crisp tenders and tikka sauce, and the Cuban Pig featuring slow-roasted pulled pork, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
To celebrate the Miami launch, Velvet Taco Wynwood will also boast its first full-service cocktail bar, offering signature drinks like Kick-Ass Margaritas and Frozen Sangrita alongside Miami-inspired creations such as Electric Lemonade, Spicy Watermelon Fresca, and Bad Ass Mojito.
