“No One” by Giorgio Tentolini Opening Event
On Wednesday, November 29, at 6 p.m., Arlo Wynwood is debuting a thought-provoking
exhibition with Italian artist Giorgio Tentolini called “No One.”
Art enthusiasts can obsess over the exhibit during this special unveiling event to showcase his pieces that explore the complexity of identity in the digital age. Prompting viewers to question what’s real and what’s virtual, Tentolini’s work has been showcased in prestigious museums such as Italy’s Museo d’Arte della Città di Ravenna and Museo di Salò. He incorporates facial features and body parts from classical sculptures that dissolve into a sequence of mesh wire and tulle as viewers near them. Guests can head to MaryGold’s by Brad Kilgore on the first floor for a special Art Week menu, including a new dessert that showcases a playful reflection of Tentolini’s mesh wire compositions. New Exhibition at ARTECHOUSE
ARTECHOUSE, a pioneer in innovative, experiential art and the leading contemporary art space dedicated exclusively to technology-based art, is proud to announce its upcoming collaboration and digital art exhibition in Miami Beach titled “Future Sketches / Code Poems” byrenowned artist, researcher, and educator Zach Lieberman.
The exhibition marks the next chapter in Lieberman's journey, exploring the poetry within computation and pushing the boundaries of creative coding as an expressive medium. The exhibition will open to the public during Miami Art Week on December 6, 2023, and remain on display through May 2024.
Iconic Sagamore Art Week Programming
Sagamore Hotel South Beach, Miami Beach’s historic art deco hotel known for its year-round art programming and museum-quality exhibitions, is once again celebrating Miami Art Week
with a series of interactive activations and events.
This year’s theme will be “The Digital Canvas: Unleashing AI in Art” which will fuse immersive Web3, AI, art, and Bitcoin. On Thursday, December 7, the Sagamore will partner with Nolcha Shows, the award-winning Web3 experiential series focused on promoting cutting-edge and innovative artistry through shows and exhibitions, for a special art-meets-Bitcoin conference, powered by Gamma.io.
DR ATELIER DEBUTING
JDR Atelier, a new Miami-based artist collective, was formally announced that they are bringing together a range of practices from digital and augmented reality (AR), to photography
and fine art, to mixed media and pop.
The newly formed initiative consists of multidisciplinary fine artist Jessica de Vreeze, contemporary artist Daniel Marin, and painter and augmented reality artist Romi Myers who will debut their collective at the 2023 Spectrum Miami art fair during Miami Art Week. The inaugural curation will be on display at booth 1016 at Mana Wynwood (2217 NW 5th Ave @NW 22nd St) from December 6-10, offering fair goers, art lovers, collectors and connoisseurs the chance to experience a convergence of perspectives, techniques, and visions.
SCOPE Art Show Miami 2023
SCOPE Miami Beach, the pioneering art show for innovation and discovery in contemporary and emerging art, has announced the more than 25 recipients of this year’s Curatorial Awards and Travel Grants with the support of the Miami Beach visitor and convention authority.
In staying true to its commitment to redefining the traditional art fair and highlighting emerging artwork from around the globe, SCOPE is proud to present galleries from 23 countries at its 22nd edition. 47% of the galleries showing at SCOPE 2023 are also new exhibitors.
ThankYouX: “Want to Be Reminded” Mural Unveiling
Arlo Wynwood has partnered with internationally recognized L.A.-based artist and painter ThankYouX, a leader in the NFT space who is bridging the gap between the traditional art and crypto worlds, to create a brand-new mural on the rooftop called “Want to Be Reminded.”
ThankYouX’s creation will showcase the energy and movement around the city by incorporating unique color schemes that represent both the hotel and the neighborhood. The mural will be unveiled on Wednesday, December 6, during a free event – open to the public – from 6-9 p.m.
Adriana Hoyos x Ingrid Haubrich
Furniture and art collide during Miami Art Week when luxury international furniture brand and interior design studio ADRIANA HOYOS hosts a live painting event in collaboration with world-renowned artist Ingrid Haubrich. Attendees will be able to witness Haubrich creating a custom, one-of-a-kind statement piece from ADRIANA HOYOS’ latest home
furnishings collection, LUA, inspired by the moon.
Haubrich will also showcase additional art pieces (using two LUA End Table 100s as canvases), which will be auctioned off during the event, with proceeds benefiting a local nonprofit. The exclusive, invite-only event will take place on Wednesday, December 6, from 6-9 p.m. at the new ADRIANA HOYOS Design Atelier in Coral Gables.
The Balfour Hotel Presents Lost at Sea by Gustavo Oviedo
On December 6 at 7 p.m., The Balfour Hotel will unveil local artist
Gustavo Oviedo’s exhibit, “Lost at Sea.”
The immersive, thought-provoking exhibition will delve into underwater discovery, coastal documentation and debris analysis. These works exemplify Gustavo Oviedo’s artistic style with large-scale paintings of organic forms straight from the depths of the ocean’s cosmic consciousness. Reflective surfaces and multisensory installations invite attendees on a transformative journey, encouraging introspection and connection to the vast ocean. The event will include passed bites and complimentary beverages, as well as live entertainment and an opportunity to meet the artist. The event is free and open to the public.
Reyna Noriega x Nautilus Sonesta
Afro-Latina visual artist, painter and author Reyna Noriega, who has dedicated her life’s work to celebrating women of color, has partnered with Nautilus Sonesta and nAscent Art New York to debut her first full-scope multimedia and multidimensional artwork installation.
Featuring approximately 12 never-before-seen pieces, the immersive installation explores Noriega’s vibrant heritage and identity as a female Cuban-American Miami native as it intersects with her culture and journey as an artist.
