Over 300 guests celebrated the Internationally acclaimed Nikkei restaurant Osaka’s North American debut as its Miami location opened its doors in Brickell. The fete commenced with an authentic Peruvian Daiko drumming blessing ceremony by Fushu Daiko which conveys gratitude and positive energy for upcoming good luck. The Taiko drummers were combined with a Peruvian Cajonero which represents Osaka’s Nikkei origin merging their culture, cuisine and the day to day traditions. The guests then experienced a traditional Asian ceremonial Sake Keg (Taru Zake) tapping and breaking of the lid to a cedar barrel filled with sake by Owners Diego de la Puente and Diego Herrera which represents prosperity. DJ/Producer Hernan Nunzi and DJ Antonio Briceno kept the party going until after midnight with a lively house set in the bar area. Among the VIP guests included American actor Cuba Gooding Jr., Peruvian actor Christian Meier, TV host/model Candela Ferro and Mexican actor Khotan Fernandez.
